VP, Compliance

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive Compliance Program, including financial crime and sanctions protocols
Oversee the regulatory compliance monitoring process, ensuring FAB USA's adherence to all relevant regulations
Provide oversight and guidance for FAB US's Financial Crime, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery programs, in collaboration with the Head of Compliance
Ensure the Corporate Governance framework aligns with regulatory expectations and best practices
Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends, advising the bank on necessary adaptations
Conduct regular compliance training to foster a culture of compliance and awareness
Review and approve compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are robust and effective
Collaborate with various departments to identify and address compliance risks, offering practical solutions
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, providing valuable insights and recommendations
Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, representing the bank's interests and engaging in discussions

Required

A minimum of 7 years of experience in a compliance role, with at least 5 years in a senior position
In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, especially in financial crime, sanctions, and anti-bribery
Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a compliance team
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
Analytical mindset to interpret complex regulations and develop practical solutions
Experience in conducting compliance audits and assessments, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
Proficiency in using compliance software for monitoring and reporting
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines

Preferred

A relevant advanced degree in law, finance, or a related field is preferred
Certifications in compliance, such as CAMS, are advantageous
