Account Manager II (Postsecondary Data Partnerships)
The National Student Clearinghouse is a leading provider of higher education data and services, and they are seeking an Account Manager for their Postsecondary Data Partnership. This role involves engaging with educational organizations to support their use of data analytics tools aimed at improving student outcomes, while also acting as a point of contact for client needs and feedback.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate the Clearinghouse's core competencies: Customer Focus, Optimizes Work Processes, Collaborates, Communicates Effectively, and Be Open and Authentic
Use a structured tracking approach from opportunity planning and contracting through to data submission and usage of PDP insights
Demonstrate proficiency in questioning, recording and resolving client needs and concerns
Elicit customer feedback to determine satisfaction and any necessary response actions
Accurately and consistently record activities within Salesforce or other platforms as required
Participate in major national and regional higher education industry themed conferences as appropriate
Work with Manager to build territory, account, and opportunity plans to focus activities based on the mission and product priorities for PDP Program
Work with teams that impact customer journey to identify opportunities to better serve accounts and user satisfaction. Raise issues as necessary and track issue closure
Contribute to the successful on time, on budget and in scope delivery of business initiatives
Contribute to development and tracking of KPIs
Work with Manager and Product Operations to ensure shared objectives are met in serving a client
Complete work with minimal supervision
Use a disciplined approach to prepare, set meeting objectives, dialog, handle/record objections, and follow-up
Deal effectively with conflict, reach agreement without damaging relationships and find win-win solutions
Bring energy, curiosity, and conviction to conversations
Effective in a wide range of settings, from one-on-one meetings to group presentations
Craft questions that convey expertise, elicit information, and drive deeper discussions to ensure needs and ideas are explored fully
Use persuasive techniques to overcome objections and demonstrate aligned values
Regularly elicit feedback and confirm agreements or need for further clarity
Demonstrate openness to new perspectives and ideas
Build trust with internal and external stakeholders by demonstrating consistency between words and actions
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree. A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered
3 years of professional experience in the education industry
Experience working in, consulting with, or selling into educational institutions and/or educational organizations focused on measuring or improving student success
Experience with balancing competing considerations regarding data sensitivity
Proven track-record of developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Professional familiarity with data and its usage relative to Higher Education
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to learn new applications
Must live within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA or in one of the Clearinghouse's approved States for hiring purposes
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred
Master's degree in Higher Education, Public Policy, or a related field in Social Sciences
Professional knowledge of and/or experience with PDP
Previous experience and proficiency with Salesforce
Experience with large databases and data warehouse
