Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department
Lead and supervise the entire finance team of four, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and payroll
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes
Dissect financial data and books to provide insights for better decision-making
Contribute to cash flow forecasting and other financial analysis as needed
Implement and improve processes to increase efficiency and manage current revenue levels
Collaborate with the executive team and contribute to strategic financial discussions
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in construction-specific accounting, including accrual method accounting, work in progress (WIP), and billing
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a finance or accounting team
A forward-looking mindset with some experience in financial forecasting
Strong background in construction-based accounting
Ability to manage a team effectively
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis
Preferred
Experience with Spectrum (Trimble) accounting software
Knowledge of project financials and contract negotiations
Experience in financial forecasting
