Responsibilities
3+ years of hands-on experience in a senior Helpdesk or SysAdmin role
Strong ability to work independently and prioritize under pressure with multiple simultaneous requests
Administration of Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 11 in a corporate environment
Expertise in Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
Strong command of TCP/IP networking and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
Experience with Fortinet Firewalls—configuration, management, and support
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening, patch management, and compliance protocols
Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization platforms
Exposure to endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) and SIEM technologies
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools such as Veeam or Acronis
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Fortinet)
Scripting experience using PowerShell for automation and system management
Positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding service even in high-stress scenarios
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail
Demonstrated employment stability and willingness to make a long-term commitment
Ability to work onsite in Southern Illinois
