Responsibilities

Prepares, maintains, and distributes monthly clinical dashboards for access, utilization, productivity, and throughput metrics
Leads analytic support for the Access Improvement Initiatives, identifying bottlenecks, access gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement
Performs analysis of the financial impact of clinic template changes, increases or decreases in new patient capacity, adjustments in cFTE, and other operational shifts that influence departmental revenue and access
Tracks, evaluates, and summarizes access improvements over time with direct linkage to NPCR outcomes
Creates, maintains, and presents assessments of clinical productivity compared with budgeted expectations; identifies gaps, trends, and contributing factors, and provides the Administrator with recommended actions to address performance variances
Serves as the departmental liaison to Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO); conducts routine reviews of billing patterns, denials and write-offs, charge lag, collections, and other key revenue cycle metrics
Identifies revenue cycle deficiencies and collaborates with RCO to implement corrective action plans
Completes and routes Professional Services Agreements (PSAs), in support of securing services to be provided by groups external to UTMB
Supports development of financial models for new programs, faculty recruitment, or changes in provider deployment
Prepares or contributes to commitment reporting, including tracking, validation, and reconciliation of faculty commitments to ensure accurate reflection in financial planning and budget monitoring
Monitors clinic operations and identifies trends in template utilization, cancellations/no-shows, throughput, and capacity constraints
Supports ongoing Access Improvement and performance-tracking initiatives across all clinical locations

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and five years of related experience

Preferred

Experience working with, or supporting, clinical faculty and ambulatory clinic operations, including familiarity with scheduling workflows, template management, and provider deployment
Exposure to Revenue Cycle Operations functions such as coding, denials management, charge reconciliation, or collections performance
Proficiency with Power BI, advanced Excel functions, and other data visualization or reporting tools
Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., AI-assisted analytics, documentation support, or workflow automation platforms)
Prior experience in an academic medical center, large physician group, or complex multi-site clinical environment
