Airframe Structures Technician
Duncan Aviation is the largest, family-owned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in the world providing complete nose-to-tail services for business aircraft. The Airframe Structures Technician performs repairs to sheet metal and composite components on a variety of airframes in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and prepares documentation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
With moderate supervision, performs repairs in compliance with Service Bulletins (SB's) and Airworthiness Directives (AD's) and standard fabrication practices of sheet metal and composite components of aircraft in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications in a timely manner in a clean, safe and professional manner with minimal rework
Accurately order general aircraft parts as needed
Performs fitting and installation of fabricated parts and manufactured parts
Proposes and seeks approval for alternate installation and fabrication processes as needed to complete the task to the highest degree of quality and efficiency
Assists with troubleshooting of structural related tasks
Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, personal training log, etc.)
Demonstrates proficiency of Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, SB's and AD Compliance statements, final inspection and closing of squawks and work orders
Consistently locates and uses appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks
Performs other related duties assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Airframe or Repairman's Certificate
valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Respirator Fit qualified
Man Lift qualified
tool inventory per department tool list
High School graduate or equivalent
Two years sheet metal or aircraft maintenance experience
Five years sheet metal or aircraft maintenance experience
Regularly scheduled attendance
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs
reads small print
hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies
repetitive motion
works with moving parts and vibration
tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance
tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet
tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments
Preferred
Powerplant Certificate
Previous sheet metal experience or training
FAA Airframe Maintenance Certificate
