Responsibilities
Develop new food ingredient products based on commercial specifications
Work closely with R&D to identify market trends, consumer needs, and product specifications
Monitor the product development process from concept to manufacturing and distribution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, operations) to ensure successful product launches
Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities
Lead technical projects from experimental design to completion, including testing and analytical procedures
Prepare standards and product materials under minimal supervision
Participate in customer visits, answer technical questions, and conduct seminars/presentations
Provide technical services such as plant trials, troubleshooting, and training; travel up to 30% required
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial food, pharmaceutical, ingredients, or flavor industry
At least 1 year of experience in beverage applications
BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related disciplines
Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage projects and work independently in a laboratory/pilot plant environment
Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and handling hazardous materials
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Knowledge of food safety, raw materials, food regulations, sanitation, and production processes
Demonstrated discriminative organoleptic skills
