DM Injury Law is a growing law firm seeking an Entry-Level Settlement Accountant to assist their Settlement Team. The role involves handling critical accounting functions that support client payments and requires attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

Make bank deposits daily for multiple entities and record related ACH activity
Process check deposit request forms
Create client-facing settlement summaries & settlement packages for attorneys
Review client-facing settlement summaries for accuracy and consistency
Reconcile settlement related account activity
Assist with entering settlement accruals
Process IOLTA Disbursement request forms
Generate data from accounting system for reports
Make electronic deposits via banking web portal
Serve as a backup for settlement Accounting Clerk
Respond and resolve requests in the shared email inbox
Special projects as needed

Qualification

Required

1 or more years of full cycle accounting or settlement experience
Proficient computer skills with MS Office, accounting software and databases
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred

Law firm experience preferred, but not required
Experience with Sage Intacct a plus
Neos (Needles) experience preferred not required
DocuWare imaging system experience preferred not required
DOMO experience preferred not required
ERP Sage experience preferred not required
