The Trader will oversee all aspects of order flow, including trade execution, developing rules-based trading systems, and maintaining relationships with brokers to support ongoing block flow and access to research and trading contacts.

Responsibilities
Manage position builds and exits via REDI, Tradeweb and broker contacts
Develop relationships with brokers to support access to deal flow (block trades, IPOs, secondary's, bond trades)
Direct new business order flow to gain access to analyst research and maintain a wide web of relationships among various brokers
Build and maintain a repository of current statistics for short inventory names (existing and names of interest) including rebates, availability and rebate trend
Work with systems developer to build rule-based trading automation
Enable spreadsheet-based trading via trade blotter uploads into REDI
Monitor news flow for existing positions and summarize daily for the general partner
Construct watchlists for names of interest, monitor for price movement and news flow
Qualification
Required
Experience in overseeing all aspects of order flow, including trade execution
Ability to develop rules-based trading systems
Experience in developing automated trade blotters
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers
Knowledge of accessing IPO and secondary offerings
Familiarity with accessing short sale inventory
Experience in accessing analyst research and bond trading contacts
Ability to maintain current information about short names of interest and current positions, including borrow rates and availability
Experience managing position builds and exits via REDI, Tradeweb, and broker contacts
Ability to develop relationships with brokers to support access to deal flow
Experience directing new business order flow to gain access to analyst research
Ability to build and maintain a repository of current statistics for short inventory names
Experience working with systems developers to build rule-based trading automation
Ability to enable spreadsheet-based trading via trade blotter uploads into REDI
Experience monitoring news flow for existing positions and summarizing daily for the general partner
Ability to construct watchlists for names of interest and monitor for price movement and news flow
