Responsibilities

Monitor, categorize, and reconcile all company expenses in real-time
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software
Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
Assist in preparing financial reports for senior leadership
Track vendor payments, due dates, and ensure timely disbursements
Receive, review, and manage all company invoices, ensuring they are approved, entered, and paid on schedule
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and vendor payment history
Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for all employees
Manage payroll adjustments, deductions, and compliance requirements
Maintain accurate employee payroll records including PTO, sick time, and benefits
Prepare, calculate, and run sales commissions for brokers, sales reps, or internal staff
Coordinate with supervisors to verify commission accuracy before payouts
Ensure bookkeeping and payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations
Assist during annual audits, tax filings, and year-end financial procedures
Maintain organized digital records of payroll, expenses, invoices, and financial documents
Support leadership with ad-hoc financial requests as needed

Required

2+ years experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll processes
Experience with QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll systems
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, etc. a plus)

Preferred

Experience with commission structures preferred
Experience managing accounts payable and invoice processing strongly preferred
