Responsibilities
Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner
May be required to load/unload shipments (forklift license required)
Identify, receive, locate, count, pull core
Operate wrenches, air tools, and gauges
Ability to identify numbers and retain to memory
Ability to properly package, label, and distribute to proper location
Ship core that is required to complete different processes throughout the plant or returned for core credit
Knowledge of computers, tablets, printers, and scanners
Operate hoist, hand tools, forklift, hand truck, and picker
Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
Adhere to established work rotation plan
Complete training matrix for each rotation position
Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
Other tasks and/or duties as requested
Qualification
Required
Must be able to identify and retain to memory part numbers and core products
Must have the ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and read gauges
May be required to obtain forklift license

Ability to work in a repetitive motion environment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently (option to use hoist)
Read, understand and complete documentation
Willingness to cross-train throughout the area
Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
Ability to work overtime when necessary
Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
Must maintain a clean work area
Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
Cross train on other jobs as required
Preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
Previous mechanical experience
High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
