Senior Analyst - Financial

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing financial forecasts, coordinating business-related projects, and providing strategic analytical expertise to improve operations.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage profitability analysis across multiple lines of business
Prepare and deliver reporting on IT project and investment-related expenditures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial objectives
Enhance and maintain standardized approaches in analyzing, evaluating, and obtaining approvals for financial support of RFP’s, bids, and proposed contracts
Evaluate actual performance on contracts vs. proposed
Coordinate across functions and business units to obtain information and garner input on key assumptions and variables
Support development of unit’s annual budget, and tracks and analyzes variances throughout year
Monitor progress toward objectives
Identify issues and suggests courses of action, makes recommendations for improving operations, and resource allocation
Perform additional strategic analytical functions
Conduct detail end of period review of financials to ensure proper reporting
Manage and organize large amounts of data: Analysis and interpretation of complex financial and statistical data; managing and organizing large amounts of data
Accountable for resolutions of any issues, variances and errors in general ledger & subledger related to project spend
Assist with the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting activities
May provide direction and support to more junior analysts
Qualification
Required
Bachelors' Degree - Accounting, Finance, or business related required
3 years required of financial analysis experience; including discounted cash flow
1 year required of data query extraction and analytics experience
1 year required of profit and loss and balance sheet forecasting and management experience
Comfortable navigating fragmented systems, managing manual databases effectively, and establishing structured, scalable processes in a dynamic environment
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex analytical data into clear, easily understandable formats
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – High proficiency in Excel
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Managing and organizing large amounts of data
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) preferred for creating clear, actionable insights from complex datasets
Preferred experience with Planview for effective project and investment tracking
Report writing utilizing Hyperion and Oracle
Short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis is preferred
