Lead Recruiter

Boom is on a mission to level the playing field for renters in the US by providing flexible and affordable housing solutions. They are seeking their first Lead Recruiter to own and scale the hiring function, focusing on building relationships and growing the candidate pipeline.

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle recruiting across key roles (engineering, product, design, sales, operations, leadership), from intake up until close (CEO will do most of the closing)
Partner with the CEO and functional leaders to define hiring priorities and ideal candidate profiles
Proactively source candidates using your Austin network, referrals, outbound sourcing, and creative channels
Design and continuously improve Boom’s recruiting process (e.g. identify and grow referral channels, improve interview processes, etc.)
Build and maintain strong pipelines for priority roles rather than hiring reactively

Required

5+ years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle ownership of roles
Meaningful experience recruiting in Austin, TX, with at least a modest existing local talent network
Experience recruiting for early-stage or high-growth companies (startup or venture-backed environment strongly preferred)
Track record of aggressively reaching out to talent (you're willing to pick up the phone, send the cold DM, etc.) and sourcing competitive candidates
Excellent communication and sales skills - comfortable representing the company to candidates
High level of ownership, organization, and follow-through - you don't let things drop and you're relentless
