Summer 2026 Community Health Outreach Internships – Cancer Center
The University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking paid Summer 2026 Community Health Outreach Interns to support cancer prevention and early detection efforts. The interns will play a hands-on role in bringing health education and cancer prevention resources directly to communities across Kansas and western Missouri.

Responsibilities
Support Pool Cool and Camp Cool sun-safety education programs at pools and camps across Kansas and western Missouri – travel required
Assist with health fairs and promotional booths
Assist at MCA community events, meetings, and outreach activities
Maintain records and data tracking for summer projects
Refresh and update marketing and educational materials for sun safety programs
Help grow, expand, and plan health education programs
Promote programs through social media and digital outreach
Build community connections with partners and participants
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
