Responsibilities
Hires, trains, supervises, and monitors the performance of the new- and used-vehicle department managers
Meets with sales managers (new and used) to establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit
The Sales Manager will promote the company’s core values and have the ability to positively influence the team’s success
Oversee all activities occurring in the vehicle showroom
Coach salespeople on best practices for closing more vehicle deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
Respond to customer complaints and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review
Monitor departmental customer satisfaction ratings and ensure potential buyer follow up to develop, execute and supervise sales control system
Qualification
Required
Proven track record with automotive retail sales
Ability to analyze situations and make win-win business decisions
Honesty, empathy, and exceptional communication skills
Strong organization, closing ability, and follow-up skills
