Conflict of Interest Committees Program Manager
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Conflict of Interest Committees Program Manager to manage the Conflict of Interest Division program supporting the University Conflict of Interest Committee and Institutional Conflict of Interest Committee. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal regulations and University policies, managing complex conflicts of interest, and collaborating with various University offices.

Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and propose management of complex individual COIs and institutional conflicts of interest (ICOIs) that require review by the COIC or ICOIC
Summarize in writing and orally present potential COIs and ICOIs to the COIC and ICOIC
Communicate directly with the COIC Chair and Vice Chair or ICOIC Co-Chairs to make determinations when full COIC or ICOIC review may not be required
Set priorities for and create COIC and ICOIC executive and full committee meeting agendas to ensure timely review of items
Maintain COIC and ICOIC meeting minutes
Provide guidance to faculty, staff, and students to assist in compliance with University policies and federal regulations that address COIs and ICOIs
Collaborate with University colleagues in various offices, including the Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Office of Sponsored Programs, Human Research Protection Office, and Animal Research Office in identifying and managing COIs and ICOIs
Develop and execute conflict management plans
Utilize the University disclosure system to facilitate the review potential COIs and ICOIs
Maintain conflict management plan and ICOI databases
Work with other members of the COID to make improvements to the COI and ICOI identification, review, and management process that support the longer-term goals and objectives of the COID
Participate in educational and training sessions for the University community
Other responsibilities as assigned by the COID Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software (particularly Excel and Outlook)
Ability to search and interpret data from complex online databases maintained by the University of Pittsburgh and federal regulatory agencies
Preferred
Master's degree or JD
Prior experience interpreting and assisting institutions of higher education in complying with federal regulations or managing COIs or ICOIs
