The role involves operating equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks to maintain environmental and sanitary controls of the facility

Proficient operation of CIP/Cleanup and set up of all packaging equipment

Ability to CIP all circuits and equipment

Maintain the Monthly Preventative maintenance list per the documented times for each task

Be confined space, forklift, and lock out tag out certified

Use ladders and high lifts to access high cleaning and painting areas

Repair and rebuild valves, perform gasket changes, inspect heat exchangers/presses, scraping/painting, and minor repairs

Assist with GMP, Biosecurity, and SQF internal audits

Assist with janitorial duties listed on Daily Janitorial Schedule as needed

Work in conjunction with lab, maintenance, plant, and manufacturing staff to ensure an efficient operation

Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements

Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements

Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way

Stay until job is completed or relieved

Perform any other assignments by a Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman
