Responsibilities

Design and plan OSP fiber and copper networks using AutoCAD, GIS, and related tools
Perform route planning, make-ready analysis, pole loading calculations, and field surveys
Prepare construction drawings for aerial, underground, and buried facilities
Coordinate with project managers, permitting agencies, utilities, and construction teams
Review and redline design packages to ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and client standards
Serve as a technical resource to resolve design and constructability issues
Provide technical leadership and oversight for OSP engineering standards and deliverables
Lead engineering efforts for full projects or major workstreams
Mentor engineers, designers, and GIS staff
Support proposals, RFPs, and process improvement initiatives

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred (required for Lead level)
OSP Engineer: 3–5 years of OSP or telecom infrastructure design experience
Lead OSP Engineer: 7+ years of OSP experience with prior technical or team leadership
Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS/ArcGIS Pro, and spatial design tools
Strong understanding of fiber and copper OSP design, permitting, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
