Responsibilities

Lead the planning and structural design of bridges, junction boxes, retaining walls, and water/wastewater plant structures
Manage structural design efforts on multiple simultaneous projects for TxDOT, cities, counties, MUDs, and tolling authorities
Prepare and review design plans, specifications, estimates, and technical calculations for bridge and transportation-related projects
Perform and oversee QA/QC reviews, ensuring compliance with applicable design codes, client standards, and industry best practices
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to EITs and engineering interns, fostering growth and professional development
Attend design meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve issues and develop strong relationships
Conduct occasional field-based activities, including site visits, inspections, and coordination with construction services
Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; participate in proposal and contract development
Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, business development, and client retention

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in the structural design of concrete bridges and related infrastructure
Demonstrated experience delivering plans and specifications for clients such as TxDOT, municipalities, and counties
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
Valid Texas driver's license and insurable driving record
Proficiency in structural engineering software such as: Bridge Geometry System (BGS), OpenBridge Designer, LEAP Bridge, STAAD, Robot, Bridge Link, or similar tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and project management skills

Preferred

Master's degree in Structural Engineering
