Responsibilities
Define architecture and design for networking subsystems supporting embedded systems
Design and specify Layer 2/3 networks, WAN, LAN, WLAN, and security solutions
Develop networking design patterns for virtualization and containerized environments
Support networking for hosting, storage, and container platforms
Enable self-service tooling for network deployment and operations
Document architecture goals, risks, design decisions, and non-functional requirements
Review existing networking designs and implement improvements
Provide end-to-end engineering, implementation, and support for network solutions
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams
Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and architecture reviews
Prepare architecture diagrams, design documents, and test reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
9+ years of experience in networking architecture and design for complex systems
Strong expertise in IP networking, Layer 2/3 architecture, and routing protocols
Deep experience with Linux networking and system-level networking development
Strong understanding of networking security and best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Expert-level Layer 2/3 networking design and troubleshooting
Linux Networking: VLAN, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, routing, firewalls, NAT, DHCP, DNS, NTP, TLS, multicast, QoS
Networking Tools: Linux networking stacks, iptables, routing utilities
Protocols & Technologies: OSPF, BGP, VPN, SDN, DNS, load balancing, firewalls
Virtualization & Containers: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, container networking
Security: Network security and cryptography, secure communication protocols
Commercial Equipment: Cisco, Juniper routers and firewalls, F5 load balancers
Cloud Networking: AWS networking services (VPC, VPN, SDN)
Experience working in SAFe Agile environments
Preferred
Cloud-native networking experience
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
