The Experienced Engineer, Operational Technology will develop and enhance applications, provide design and development for control systems, and ensure cybersecurity for industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

Develop process modeling or computer simulations

Develop new applications or maintain/ /enhance existing applications

Provide custom interfaces with laboratory instrumentation and configuring Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS)

Provide application/control system design and development for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to interface with process instrumentation

Work with ORACLE or SQL databases

Provide Cyber Security for Industrial Control Systems

Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems within Federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities

Begin using SRNS systems and meeting SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance

Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals

Required

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
