Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners

Review all types of tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners

Complete tax research projects as needed

Gather and prepare information for federal and state tax auditors

Proactively communicate relevant emerging tax issues and industry information to clients

Provide proactive advisory and consulting services

Lead, supervise, train, and give performance feedback to team members

Identify opportunities and recommend methods to improve service and work processes

Service consulting engagements with large private and public companies on an as needed project basis

Create new business opportunities by expanding existing client relationships, developing personal networks, and participating in industry and trade associations

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required

Licensed CPA or EA

At least 8 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax

3 to 5 years of supervisory experience

Strong background with Tax methodologies and techniques

Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions

Outstanding problem solving, time management, and organizational skills

Preferred

Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is considered a plus
