Responsibilities

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
Process improvement with CNC Programs
Use of CNC, Manual Mills, Lathes, Saw Grinder, Hand Tools, Gauges, Hoist & Forklift
Load and unload parts into CNC machinery
Operate to make parts to specifications and rate Set-up and read gauges
Use of surface tester computer
Set-up and touch-off
Ability to understand machine codes and adjustments as needed, diagnose quality issues, Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges(manual, digital, auto), hoist, press
Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
Adhere to established work rotation plan
Complete training matrix for each rotation position
Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
Perform other duties as assigned
This position will be trained on 1st shift
Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix production/program issues on 3rd shift
Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner

Required

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and Lathe Operator
Set up and operate CNC machinery that automatically mills, punches, and drills metal parts

Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
Ability to work overtime when necessary
Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
Must maintain a clean work area
Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures

Preferred

CNC Certificate preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous CNC experience preferred
High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
