Responsibilities
Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Lead multiple precast concrete projects from award through closeout, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; coordinate resources and materials; conduct regular project meetings to track progress and resolve issues
Provide technical expertise in the design and structural analysis of precast concrete elements and facility improvement projects (e.g., ancillary structures, casting beds, manufacturing facilities)
Act as the primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and agencies, addressing inquiries and managing expectations
Mentor and supervise project engineers, drafters, and support staff to promote collaboration and high performance
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
Maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry and project specifications; assist in developing QC procedures and programs
Lead initiatives to improve project workflow efficiency and support innovation across the organization
Plan and manage R&D projects, including tracking material, labor, and overhead costs
Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence; provide regular updates to stakeholders
Assist estimating staff by reviewing and analyzing cost and quantity estimates
Ensure all project scope and contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with client agreements
Qualification
Required
5+ years of precast concrete design, engineering, and project management experience
Strong proficiency in structural analysis/design software (e.g., RISA-3D, ETABS, SAP2000)
Advanced skills in drafting software and Bluebeam; BIM experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities
Demonstrated success delivering complex precast projects on schedule and within budget
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry/agency standards related to precast manufacturing and installation
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Valid California driver's license
