Responsibilities

Market Research & Opportunity Identification:
O Research potential clients and new market segments to identify prospective business opportunities
O Analyze industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform proactive outreach Strategies
Client Acquisition:
O Proactively contact and engage potential customers through networking, cold outreach, digital platforms (LinkedIn, email, phone), and attending relevant industry events and trade shows
O Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals tailored to prospective clients' needs
O Close new business and create new lines of recurring revenue
Relationship Development :
O Build and nurture relationships with key Influencers and decision-makers at target accounts, focusing on developing new accounts not currently in the company's portfolio, as well as expanding existing client account
O Build and nurture relationships with current BHI distribution partners
Sales Strategy & Execution :
O Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve new customer acquisition and revenue targets
O Negotiate and close new business contracts; coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery
Reporting & Analysis:
O Track and report sales activities, pipeline/lead generation results, and business wins to management
O Use CRM tools, like QuickBase, to manage prospect lists, communication history, and follow-up actions
Collaboration :
O Work closely with internal teams (category management, sales & marketing) to align solutions with customer needs and company capabilities
O Share market feedback and prospects' requirements to help shape new product or service offerings

Required

5+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience (foodservice sector preferred)
Proven track record of acquiring new clients, closing new business and meeting/exceeding sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to research and engage decision-makers in new markets
Results-oriented approach; resilient, adaptable, and self-driven
Experience using CRM and lead generation tools
Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%
Experience with MSOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Familiarity with LinkedIn and other digital prospecting platforms
Experience building multi-level relationships in matrixed organizations
