Research Operations Associate
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Operations Associate for their Cell and Gene therapy, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Pediatric Brain Tumor research disease teams. This role focuses on improving care coordination, transition planning, and patient engagement for children with cancer, while managing project execution and communication among various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Participates and responsible ongoing initiatives within BMT, Cell & Gene, & PBT
Coordinates the day to day research operations and financial processes for the department
Monitors financial activity by compiling, reviewing, and reconciling financial accounts
Reviews expenditures from fund sources to verify accuracy, need, and compliance
Assists with preparation of cost and effort data for strategic planning
Coordinates meetings, work-groups, and communication across research and clinical administrative stakeholders (including faculty, lab staff, and program leadership)
Prepares agendas, records action items, and monitors follow-up to ensure alignment and momentum
Maintains shared documents, SOPs, and project templates to support consistent research workflows across initiatives
Manages shared folders and tracking tools to ensure organization and accessibility
Supports a high-impact multidisciplinary program spanning pediatric care and transition to adult care
Works with 15–20 active stakeholders across disciplines
Interfaces with external partners, institutional leaders, and community collaborators to support program delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Two years of relevant experience
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
3+ years of experience in project or program coordination
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and tracking tools
