Crossover is a remote-first online school focused on measurable progress in student learning. The Virtual Reading Specialist will facilitate virtual reading intervention sessions for grades 3-8, analyze assessment data, and adapt instruction to support diverse reading needs.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Plan and execute virtual small-group and individualized reading intervention sessions for grades 3–8 students
Analyze reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction promptly
Adapt activities to accommodate multiple reading proficiency levels, including specialized support for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
Monitor student progress systematically and apply findings to inform subsequent session planning
Facilitate structured motivation touchpoints that cultivate confidence, resilience, and recognition of growth

Reading intervention certificationDyslexia intervention trainingData analysis proficiencyGrades 3-8Virtual communication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or closely aligned discipline
Reading intervention certification or endorsement (such as Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state credential)
Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or comparable structured literacy methodologies)
Minimum 2 years of experience providing small-group or individualized reading interventions for grades 3–8 students
Demonstrated experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
Proficiency in interpreting progress monitoring data and applying insights to plan and modify instruction
Proven capacity to engage and manage students in virtual environments through clear, motivating communication
Full-time availability aligned with U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday; 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PT)
