Katalyst Systems Impact is partnering with Blahnik Construction, a well-established industrial general contractor serving Eastern Iowa, to find a Project Engineer. This role involves supporting estimating, project management, and field operations for large-scale industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in project estimating, including bid take-offs from client drawings and scope documents
Participate in pre-bid walk-throughs with project managers and superintendents
Learn estimating procedures and vendor relationships to support accurate, competitive bids
Draft bid letters and scopes of work
Support project managers with pre-job planning and execution
Procure materials and supplies for projects and warehouse needs
Coordinate job site logistics, deliveries, and field documentation
Ensure safety requirements and protocols are in place and followed
Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and project progress
Assist with staffing coordination and issue resolution
Contribute to project closeout, final documentation, and invoice generation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, and Microsoft Project
Prior industrial construction experience
