Responsibilities
Maintain timely and accurate financial records using QuickBooks ; AppFolio experience is a plus
Review, code, and process vendor invoices and generate weekly payment lists
Review monthly financial statements from third-party property management companies to ensure all rental income is received and expenses are accurately charged
Reconcile rental income statements from property management companies and direct tenant payments
Track rent collection status and follow up with Property Managers regarding unpaid or outstanding rents
Perform bank, income, and account reconciliations as required
Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
Complete when necessary or needed accounting and reporting assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of accounting experience; real estate or property management experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Solid data entry accuracy with intermediate Excel skills preferred
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to new systems and processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, or other property management platforms
Familiarity with rent rolls, vendor management, and third-party reconciliations
Experience supporting multi-property or portfolio accounting
