Responsibilities
Operate the CNC machine daily, including fixturing, running programs, and maintenance
Use CAD/CAM software to program 3-axis milling machines to machine complex metallic structures and components. 4th and 5th Axis experience are a bonus
Design complex fixturing
Select tooling and maintain the tool library
Support the Applications Team (R&D) with DFM (design for manufacturing)
Assist with the procurement of additional milling/manufacturing equipment
Operate auxiliary manufacturing equipment (bandsaw, furnace, media blast, etc.) while maintaining the shop in a clean and organized condition
Qualification
Required
10+ years of combined experience operating and programming CNC machinery
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environment
Travel up to 10%
Preferred
Associate degree or above in engineering disciplines
Experience with a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and nickel-based alloys, etc.)
Experience with Autodesk Fusion/Solidworks CAM
Experience in machining metal additive-manufactured parts
Experience with Haas Equipment
Experience of working in commercial metal AM manufacturing facilities (service bureaus, manufacturing divisions, laboratories, etc.) is strongly preferred
