Responsibilities

Organizes and directs the activities of the plant Quality department
Coordinates the total plant quality assurance effort to ensure conformance to customer, division, and plant quality standards plus government regulations
Provides objective evaluations of process performance and product quality
Develops subordinates for continual contributions towards plant quality goals
Responsible for ISO/TS 16949 compliance audits and other audits
Supports plant quality, safety and environmental goals
Manages Quality department activities
Directs Quality Engineering service to Production
Serves as the Management Representative for ISO/TS 16949 compliance audits
Interacts with people at all levels within the company as well as with external contacts including auditors
Analyzes quality data and makes recommendations for improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline
Strong human relations skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise subordinates and foster teamwork
Ability to make good decisions under pressure
Ability to determine when, where and how to take decisive action
Ability to know what course to take when faced with complex issues
Customer-focused
Results-driven
Ability to analyze quality data and make recommendations for improvement
Experience influencing others and driving change in organizations for continuous improvement efforts
Technical production knowledge
Engineering background and education
Substantial training and competency in quality management techniques
Knowledgeable in statistical process control techniques
Knowledgeable in FMEA
Knowledgeable in Control Planning
Knowledgeable in Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R)
Knowledgeable in project management and problem-solving skills
Proficient in the use of computer systems and software
Proficient at an intermediate to advanced level in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Preferred

Lean Six Sigma belt
CQM certification
CQE certification
Strong knowledge of statistical quality applications
Strong knowledge of metrology
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality control standards
