Responsibilities
Qualify & Convert Interest
Serve as the first point of contact for prospects exploring Actian’s BI and AI-powered analytics tools
Engage users of free or trial BI tools and qualify them for upgrade and expansion opportunities
Identify business needs, stakeholders, and use cases, and document insights in Salesforce
Drive outbound outreach into target accounts and new personas within existing Actian customers
Prioritize accounts based on engagement data, intent signals, and ICP alignment
Support pipeline generation across net-new and expansion motions
Execute thoughtful, multi-channel outreach that highlights ease of use, business value, and AI-driven insights
Tailor messaging to business users, analysts, and technical stakeholders
Position Actian as a modern, differentiated BI/AI platform in a competitive landscape
Partner with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Customer Success to progress opportunities
Share feedback from the field to refine messaging, campaigns, and product positioning
Maintain accurate territory plans, activity tracking, and pipeline data in Salesforce
Qualified meetings and opportunities generated
Conversion of free or inbound interest into sales conversations
Consistent activity levels and pipeline contribution
Strong Salesforce hygiene and territory management
Qualification
Required
6+ months of sales, customer success, or customer-facing experience
Comfort engaging a range of stakeholders via phone, email, and social channels
Strong discovery skills and ability to communicate value clearly
Interest in BI, analytics, and AI-driven technology
A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organization and follow-through
Preferred
Experience with Salesforce and modern sales tools (ZoomInfo, Cognism, Outreach, Demandbase, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
