The role involves providing leadership and support within the accounting organization, modernizing processes, improving efficiency, and supporting growth across a multi-store dealership group.

Responsibilities
Oversee all daily accounting functions including AP, AR, billing, cash management, and month-end close
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations
Manage and mentor the accounting team
Monitor and enforce internal controls across all stores
Partner with department managers and the GM on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
Maintain compliance with manufacturer, lender, and audit requirements
Prepare and submit factory statements, sales tax, and other required filings
Assist with year-end audits, cost reviews, and operational improvements
Support leadership with KPIs, reporting dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis
Qualification
Required
Prior experience as an Automotive Controller required
Strong understanding of dealership accounting schedules and reconciliations
Proficient in CDK, Reynolds, DealerTrack, or similar DMS
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
