Responsibilities

Develop and enhance mission management and context management software services for autonomous vehicles
Design and implement route planning and dynamic re-routing algorithms
Integrate navigational aids and database-driven routing logic into autonomy stacks
Support metadata tracking and mission constraints (e.g., fuel cost, airspeed, environmental factors)
Contribute to guidance and control systems with a focus on replanning and mission execution logic
Develop and maintain high-performance autonomy software using C++ and Python
Utilize ROS2 for middleware integration and Foxglove for visualization and debugging
Validate autonomy behavior using flight simulation tools (experience with any flight simulator acceptable)

Required

Strong background in autonomous systems or autonomous vehicle software development
Hands-on experience with mission planning, path planning, trajectory optimization, or motion planning algorithms
Proficiency in C++ and Python with a strong focus on production-quality code
Experience working with ROS2 in robotics or autonomy environments
Familiarity with visualization and debugging tools such as Foxglove
Experience testing autonomy or planning logic in simulation environments (e.g., X-Plane or equivalent)
Robotics-level engineering rigor (certified avionics experience not required)
