Customer Success & Onboarding Specialist

Shop Controller is a leading cloud-based auto shop management and point-of-sale software platform designed to help automotive repair shops streamline operations. They are seeking a Customer Success & Onboarding Specialist to guide customers through onboarding, provide technical support, and conduct training to maximize the value of the Shop Controller platform.

Responsibilities

Guide new customers through the onboarding process from kickoff to go-live
Configure accounts, integrations, and workflows based on customer needs
Serve as the primary point of contact during the implementation phase
Ensure customers achieve early wins and a smooth transition into active usage
Provide timely, professional support via email, chat, and video calls
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex cases when needed
Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Engineering) to resolve issues and improve the product
Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions and solutions
Conduct live training sessions and product walkthroughs
Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and best practices
Educate customers on new features and platform enhancements
Help customers optimize their workflows and usage of the platform

Required

2–5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Onboarding, Support, or Implementation roles
Technical aptitude with SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, or e-commerce systems
Familiarity with e-commerce, retail operations, or related industries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-first mindset
Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple customer accounts

Preferred

Experience with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or order/inventory systems
Prior experience at a SaaS or technology company
Background in customer training or enablement
Experience working with CRM or support tools (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot)
