Responsibilities

Assist the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations and financial management

Perform Assistant Controller-level responsibilities, including oversight of general ledger activities and internal controls

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Develop and deliver profitability reporting by practice group, department, and client/matter, including trend and variance analysis

Analyze billing, realization, utilization, and cost data to support management decision-making

Work extensively within Aderant for accounting, billing, reporting, and financial analysis

Oversee payroll processing and administration; ensure accuracy and compliance

Maintain compliance with law firm accounting requirements, including IOLTA

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives

Support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting

Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, internal controls, and operational efficiency
