IT Program Director, SAP Implementation

They are seeking an IT Program Director to oversee the SAP S4 ERP implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project timelines to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including planning, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
Collaborate with business and functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions, with a focus on using standard “Clean Core” Business Processes
Lead SI partners to develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets
Manage and mentor SAP project team members, including internal staff and external consultants
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and SI vendors
Ensure SAP solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with company policies and industry best practices
Oversee change management, training, and communication efforts to drive user adoption
Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and present updates to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in SAP implementation, with at least 2 years in a lead or project management role
Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM) and business processes
Experience with project management methodologies specifically including Activate methodology (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proven track record of delivering SAP projects on time and within budget
Project management and organizational skills
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Team leadership and people management
Strong written and verbal communication
Change management and training expertise
Preferred
Master's degree
SAP certification(s) preferred
