Client Services Manager
SoTalent is seeking an experienced Client Service Manager to support high-value corporate clients within an equity compensation services environment. The role focuses on building trusted client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the accurate administration of complex equity compensation programs.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries related to complex equity compensation plans and associated financial reporting
Monitor client financial health and identify opportunities to increase participant engagement and service adoption
Plan and oversee key client events such as equity grants, exercises, vesting releases, ESPP activity, and dividend processing to ensure accurate execution
Collaborate with clients to design solutions for unique administrative requirements while balancing operational and risk considerations
Coordinate cross-functional resources to support client initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, new plan launches, and communication campaigns
Resolve client issues promptly and accurately, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
Build and maintain long-term, consultative relationships with assigned clients
Stay current on equity compensation trends and regulatory standards through industry conferences, certifications, and professional involvement
Implement oversight and controls for high-value and executive-level transactions
Conduct regular client check-ins to review performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement
Participate in and deliver client service review meetings, including on-site engagements
Provide training and guidance to corporate clients on system functionality and platform capabilities
Support sales initiatives through proposal reviews, presentations, demonstrations, and client meetings
Contribute to system and process improvements by providing business requirements and client feedback
Advocate for client needs in collaboration with technology and product teams
Provide flexibility for after-hours or weekend support during critical client events or escalations
Travel occasionally to support client engagements
Qualification
Required
Strong working knowledge of equity compensation programs, including stock options, ESPPs, restricted stock, dividend equivalents, and related accounting standards (ASC 718 / IFRS 2)
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical judgment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Willingness to travel approximately 10–15%
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
CEP certification (Level 1 or higher)
Experience in brokerage, financial services, or corporate accounting environments
Familiarity with equity compensation administration platforms
Ability to clearly communicate organizational values and service vision
Background in project management, business analysis, or consulting
