Responsibilities

Assist with audits and updates of physical records inventories stored on-site
Support the classification, labeling, and organization of records in alignment with the organization's classification and retention schedules
Help coordinate secure storage, retrieval, and disposition of records
Assist in tracking and maintaining inventory of records stored at off-site facilities
Coordinate with off-site storage vendors to facilitate records retrieval, delivery, and secure disposal
Support the accurate documentation of off-site records inventories
Participate in electronic records discovery processes by assisting in identifying and cataloging digital records across systems and platforms
Provide support for implementing electronic records and information management solutions, including metadata tagging and indexing
Collaborate with IT and other departments to help address gaps in electronic records management practices
Assist in applying the organization’s records retention schedule to support proper lifecycle management of records
Facilitate secure and compliant transfer or destruction of records under guidance
Document disposition activities for audit and regulatory purposes as directed
Support adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate policies related to records and information management
Help maintain and update RIM policies, procedures, and training materials
Provide support to employees on proper records handling and management practices
Work with departments and stakeholders to provide assistance with RIM-related needs
Help deliver training to employees on RIM policies, tools, and best practices
Serve as a point of contact for records-related inquiries and issues
Assist in maintaining accurate records inventory databases and generating reports on records management activities
Help track compliance with records retention policies and procedures
Support process improvement recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the RIM program

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
2+ years of experience in records and information management or related discipline
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Preferred

Familiarity with records retention schedules, information governance principles, and regulatory requirements
Experience with records management software and electronic records discovery tools is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good communication and collaboration skills
