Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain fluctuations in financial results
Manage the accounts receivable process, including, collections, and account reconciliations
Collaborate with other members of the Finance team and cross-functional departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to ensure data accuracy and resolve accounting issues
Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders
Improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes
Contribute to the overall financial health and success of the company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1-3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, including monthly close, cash reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred)
Experience with accounting software (Acumatica ERP a plus)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred
Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Experience in a manufacturing environment
