Application Support Analyst
Texas Health and Human Services is committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of Texans. They are seeking a Systems Analyst IV to support Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications, performing analytical work, application support, and systems administration for state hospitals and living centers.

Responsibilities
Develop reports from Cerner Millennium database using existing tools like DA2 or DVD. Documents, designs, validates, and implements reporting methodologies for multiple areas of specialization using selected HHSC methodology and tools. (20%)
Investigates and identifies corrective solutions to production problems / issues. Consults with IT teams on software/hardware justifications and purchases. Supports in troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to EHR system software and hardware incidents and problem calls, and in the processing of service requests and tasks. (50%)
May provide on-call application support as part of the support team based on team rosters. Provides technical expertise to aid in decision making and problem resolution for EHR applications (10%)
Performs quality assurance tasks to ensure accuracy of fixes provided to resolve issues. Documents processes and procedures for technical and non-technical users. (10%)
Perform other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations. Promotes and demonstrates appropriate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts (10%)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field is preferred. May substitute direct work experience on a year-for-year basis in lieu of education
Preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience in using EHR application (Cerner Millennium, Netsmart's myAvatar or similar) in a largescale private/public environment is preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in using Unix/Linux/AIX OS pr MS Windows Servers are preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in report design, development and automation using RDBMS tools
Minimum of 4 years of experience in providing application support to EHR applications or similar
Experience in using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy on Demand or similar is a plus
Experience using Microsoft office suites
