Responsibilities
Litigate cases involving employment disputes, commercial real estate and contract disputes, and business torts
Drafting initial and responsive pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with relative independence
Conducting legal research
Framing issues for dispositive motions practice
Working collaboratively with colleagues to prepare to represent clients in the courtroom
Interfacing with valued clients
Providing creative and insightful ideas to assist clients
Crafting creative and nuanced solutions for clients
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in Commercial Litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions
Strong research skills and the ability to present legal analysis in a concise and powerful way
Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently
Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures
Strong legal writing skills, including experience drafting dispositive motions and briefs, is required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in the Georgia State Bar
Preferred
Demonstrated experience conducting depositions and defense of depositions (preferred) or an interest in learning to conduct and defend depositions
Experience with document review and production, including eDiscovery (eDiscovery experience is a “plus” qualification)
Experience conducting (or interest in learning to conduct) oral arguments in State, federal, and appellate courts
Interest in trying cases to a jury in State or federal court
