Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is seeking a Propulsion Technician Senior to support the Manufacturing team in El Segundo, CA. The Propulsion Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks in support of fabrication, integration, and testing of space flight systems and support equipment.

Responsibilities

Weld, assemble, install, test, route/terminate/stake/wrap thermistors, heaters, non‐flight thermocouples and heaters on spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures

Visually inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, and test procedure

Operate various materials handling equipment including forklifts, overheads cranes, aerial lift equipment, flight vehicle and sub-assembly transportation equipment, truck/tractor trailer combinations and other GSE as required

Travel maybe required to support operations identified by program being supported

Capable of operating a wide range of tools. Including but not limited to, orbital tube welding machines, tack welding machines, drill press, grinders, power and hand tools

Interface and /or works closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel on procedural issuers involving design, methods, tooling, cost, and other areas involved in the control of product quality

Support in areas defined by Millennium Space System Leadership as business needs require
