Technical Support, Product Specialist: Epoxy
Polytek Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials, currently seeking a Technical Support, Product Specialist for their Epoxy product line. This role involves providing technical support, conducting demonstrations, and collaborating with the sales team to identify opportunities and maintain customer relationships.

Responsibilities
Recommend solutions and performs technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, troubleshooting, etc.) for customers
Discuss the potential sales opportunities with sales team
Support new Technology projects, collect data, customer evaluation support, etc
Participant in lab work for customer complaint/new test method design/new formulations
Maintain contact with prospects, customers, and partners
Discuss current and new-release product features and uses
Provide ongoing technical support and case management daily through phone, email, and other forms of communication to customers
Work with Business Development Manager, Product Manager, Marketing, and Sales Team to develop customer strategies
Maintain accurate records in the quality management and customer relationship management tools (CRM)
Identify training opportunities and assume ownership for self-development and training of others
Lead technical presentations presented to customers in support of sales
Conduct hands-on demonstrations and educate the market on product offering
Prepare documentation and maintain knowledge database of technical tips and technical resolution outcomes (CRM)
Attend industry events, gain membership into industry associations, and manage interactions with partners and customers
Be exposed to different technologies and accessory applications. (Epoxy, Polyurethane, Polyurea, Silicone, & Latex)
This position requires up to 50% travel
Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight
Strategic travel: Customer Trials, Product Support, Demonstrations, Industry Events/Tradeshows
Focus on Marine (eventually target other Epoxy markets as we capture success with the Marine market)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight, and across North America
Must be able to understand, speak, write, and read English
Composite part manufacturing with a focus on Epoxy Chemistry
Familiar with Epoxy Chemistry, Polyurethane, Polyurea, Silicone, & Latex
Good communication with different internal functional team as well as customer
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
Preferred
3 - 5 years of experience preferred
