Collector , Entry Level
Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Collector to join their client's team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves managing a portfolio of accounts to recover past-due balances through effective communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize a set of accounts, planning outreach strategies to optimize recovery efforts
Reach out to individuals via phone and other communication channels to review account details, understand circumstances, and work toward mutually beneficial payment arrangements
Develop solutions such as payment plans or settlements that comply with company guidelines and legal standards while helping customers meet their obligations
Document all interactions and actions in the company's system to maintain up-to-date account information and ensure transparency
Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA and HIPAA, ensuring ethical and lawful collection practices
Qualification
Required
At least 1 year in a call center environment
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work across multiple software applications simultaneously
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle sensitive conversations tactfully
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA and HIPAA, ensuring ethical and lawful collection practices
Preferred
Background in collections, credit, or similar roles preferred
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems (e.g., LiveVox, Noble, Avaya, Genesys) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SAP) is a plus
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued
