Responsibilities

Lead monthly closes and oversee all Private Credit fund general ledgers
Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for private funds and BDC funds (including Forms 10Q and 10K), ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC, and tax reporting requirements, as applicable
Manage outsourced accounting resources and third-party service providers
Support annual external audits and conduct US GAAP analysis on financial reporting and internal controls
Analyze GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including new and existing guidance, as well as those in support of ad hoc complex accounting matters and capital transactions
Oversee technology systems and new implementations, with a focus on process automation
Produce quarterly investor reporting and ensure compliance with BDC and RIC tests; and debt covenants
Update and file Form 8-K for material events
Prepare board materials for senior management, including expense allocations, director fee summaries, and distribution notices
Coordinate periodic capital calls, distributions, and IRR statements with the Investor Relations Team
Establish and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including investors, vendors, banks, and the Board of Directors
Collaborate closely with Investment Operations, Tax, Reporting & Analytics, Valuation, Compliance, Legal, and Technology Solutions teams to support ongoing operational and reporting needs
Drive operational efficiencies, strong controllership, and compliance throughout all team processes
Provide strong team leadership with a focus on employee growth and development

Required

Minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience in asset management (BDC/private credit/leveraged finance structures) of significant size and complexity. A mix of asset management and public accounting experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree preferred. Must have an active CPA license
Extensive experience preparing GAAP-based financial statements
SEC reporting and filing experience required, including proven ability to assess reporting requirements in accordance with Regulations S-X and S-K
Extensive experience and knowledge designing and maintaining control environments in accordance with COSO and SOX
Proven ability to build and lead multi-person teams, motivating employees to create a positive, results-oriented environment
Energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player with the ability to ‘roll up their sleeves.'
Exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Experience supporting new vehicle launches and ensuring operational excellence during periods of significant growth
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and general ledger packages (e.g., Geneva) is a strong plus
Ability to build relationships and work effectively with a variety of business partners in a team-oriented environment
Ability to operate and lead within a matrixed organization
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives
Strong presence, maturity, confidence, and experience working within sophisticated, matrixed organizations

Preferred

Develop a strong understanding of the firm, the CFR Fund Accounting Team, and related processes and systems (including Geneva and Everest)
Master regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for BDCs, including the SOX framework
Gain a high-level understanding of the monthly close process, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of internal management reports
Build relationships with other departments involved in the month-end process and understand their roles
Mentor direct reports and develop coaching relationships within the team
Build relationships with the BDC Group, Corporate Development, and Structured Products teams to achieve BDC goals
