Credit Analyst I
First Security Bank Montana, a division of Glacier Bank, is seeking a Credit Analyst I. The role is responsible for providing competent credit analysis for commercial lending activities, overseeing credit workflows, and working directly with lenders and clients to maintain credit quality in the portfolio.

Responsibilities
Perform commercial loan underwriting tasks such as analyze business & personal tax returns and financial statements, identify trends and concerns and work closely with assigned commercial team and customers to understand & mitigate credit issues
Assess credit worthiness of individuals, companies, and institutions
Provide informed professional opinions to bank officers regarding applicants financial/credit status, suggest loan structures, and support the lending process
Adherence and knowledge of loan policy to be used while underwriting and discussing potential loan requests
Undertakes risk analysis using regional and industry-specific data and gauges market trends
Preparing credit memos and recommendations based on the analysis and findings
Clearly and professionally communicates with lending teams and customers
Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with internal and external customers
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent credit analyst knowledge gained through a combination of education and experience
Minimum of one-year prior experience in commercial banking, or related field
Basic understanding of financial data such as cash flow, balance sheet, income statement, and collateral valuation
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and ability to apply concepts of basic math
Analytical skills to assess and evaluate areas of responsibility including determination of loan risk involved and recommendation of credit limitations
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to process detailed information with accuracy and efficiency
Assignments involve work of a confidential nature, necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring discretion
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position
Knowledge and proficiency with various computer programs; including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel, nCino, Jack Henry, or other software commonly used in the banking industry
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed information in clear, easy to understand manner
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to both prioritize and multi-task while adapting to changing workflow and personalities
Must possess ability to prepare written reports and present formal presentations
