Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all phases of structural engineering projects, including planning, design, execution, and close-out
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations
Perform structural analysis and design for various structures, including buildings, pedestrian bridges, and other infrastructure projects
Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets project milestones and deliverables
Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback
Implement and maintain quality control procedures
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction compliance with design specifications
Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
Support business development activities by preparing proposals, presentations and cost estimates for potential projects
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Identify and pursue new project opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience within the structural engineering and civil design industry with a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Proven experience managing complex engineering projects
Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software including in Autodesk applications, preferably Revit
Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Works well within a team environment
