Research Technician II - Yu Lab
Cleveland Clinic is a respected healthcare organization seeking a Research Technician II for the Yu Lab. In this role, you will perform laboratory techniques, assist with analyses, and manage laboratory supplies to support research on brain tumors.

Responsibilities
Perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for experimental studies
Perform technical lab duties
Schedule and perform various analyses
Assist with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses
Prepare reagents, purify chemicals, and identify, separate and quantify various substances
Conduct testing and procedures utilizing laboratory equipment and instrumentation
Accumulate data from analyses
Prepare charts, graphs, statistical tables, publications, grant proposals and applications for research forms
Order laboratory supplies and equipment through Oracle
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment
OR an Associate's degree in a laboratory science field and one year of work experience
OR a Bachelor's degree
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to distinguish color
Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc
Preferred
Master's or Bachelor's degree
