Responsibilities

Engage with OGC attorneys, paralegals, and clients on a variety of legal matters
Assist in preparing legal memoranda and conducting legal research to support assigned projects
Effectively communicate with assigned attorneys while managing multiple deadlines and priorities
Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to discussions and learning opportunities
Receive and apply constructive feedback from supervising OGC attorneys to enhance professional development
Gain exposure to operational aspects of an in-house legal department within a federal research laboratory
Participate in a final evaluation during the last week of the internship to assess overall performance and contributions
Collaborate with attorneys to develop and deliver a 15–30 minute PowerPoint presentation to senior staff on a legal topic selected by the intern in coordination with mentors

Law School Enrollment

Required

Currently enrolled in law school at the time of application
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
